Newly Elected iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class Executive Committee for 2026–2027

The iQFOiL community has elected a new Executive Committee for the Youth & Junior Class, set to serve from 2026 to 2027. This dynamic group, composed of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, is dedicated to enhancing the sport for young windsurfers globally. With their collective experience and commitment, the new committee aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive environment for youth participation in the iQFOiL class.

President

Lorand Utassy (Hungary)

Lorand has shifted his focus from the senior board to the Youth & Junior Class, aiming to continue the successes achieved in recent years. “I am happy to continue leading the youths and juniors into the future and work with the new board to reach more universality and great events.”

Committee Members

Ferit Ercan (Turkey)

With four years of coaching experience and active involvement in major events, Ferit brings valuable expertise to the Class. “Coming from a big nation like Turkey and being present at all the events, I think I can bring great value to the Class, especially regarding event matters.”

Sára Cholnoky (Hungary)

An experienced Olympic athlete now coaching, Sára aims to grow Hungary’s presence and support developing nations. “We have been working very hard in Hungary to develop iQ sailors, and I would like to share my knowledge to help build bigger fleets and make the pathway easier for other countries.”

Marja Hoveling (Aruba)

Representing the Caribbean, Marja is deeply committed to youth development in the region. “We are working together through coach-to-coach programs to get more youth from this side of the world into the games.”

Nicolas Schreier (Peru)

With extensive experience in youth classes, Nicolas focuses on increasing South American participation. “The Class in Peru is growing a lot, and I believe we can help more countries join this fantastic world of iQFOiL.”

Ronnie Meir (Israel)

Currently the Senior Class President and former Junior Class President, Ronnie has been a pivotal figure in shaping the iQFOiL pathway. “I helped to establish the Class together with Gonzalo back in 2020,” he noted. “It is in my blood to push, promote, and improve the Youth & Junior iQFOiL.”

Together, this committee is poised to make a meaningful impact on the sport and inspire the next generation of iQFOiL windsurfers in the years ahead.
